backgrounds

Has anybody worked out how to add custom backgrounds programmatically? We will need to push our corp imagery to make it available for all staff. Previously this was done by GPO putting images into %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds. The new location seems to be %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\Backgrounds\Uploads - however manual copy of images to this location, even if you include the image and thumb from the old location don't work. When using the GUI to add images, they are put into the uploads folder with a randomised name and auto generated thumb. I also tried copying these to a different users machine same location but it doesn't recognise them, so they must be indexed somehow elsewhere?Teams Premium - Under "Meetings", the point "Customization Policies" does not exist
Hi there! I activated the Teams Premium license on Monday. In the Teams Admin Center all Premium features are displayed and can be configured, except one: Customization Policies See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/custom-meeting-backgrounds Why is the "Customization Policies" not shown in the navigation pane under "Meetings"? Looking to better understand the limitations of unlicensed MS Teams desktop app around virtual backgrounds for Mac When a user joins Teams meeting using MS Teams app preinstalled but is not logged into the app, They can join the meeting use the mic, video cam, and share screen but what I am finding is they are unable to select the virtual background option. If the user has access to an MS account/license that supports the login of MS Teams then they are able to use the virtual background. Do we know if MS limit the desktop app form using virtual background if the app is not signed in with an MS Teams license for Mac? I understand thehttps://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/hardware-requirements-for-the-teams-app for MS Teams for Mac. I have been testing this with Macbook Air from 2020 that supports virtual backgrounds. Has anyone else run across this. Any help would be appreciated2.1KViews1like1Comment
