Hello everyone, I'm facing a persistent issue trying to install update KB4534310 on a *Windows 7 Professional SP1 (x64)* system. Despite thorough preparation, the installer fails with "This update is not applicable to your computer." *System Configuration:* - *OS:* Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1, build 7601 - *Architecture:* x64 - *Language:* Russian - *Registry data:* EditionID=Professional, InstallationType=Client *Prerequisites installed (in order):* 1. ✅ KB4490628 (Servicing Stack Update) 2. ✅ KB4474419 (SHA-2 Update) 3. ✅ KB4536952 (Service Stack Update) *Diagnostics & repairs performed:* - *Windows Update components reset:* Stopped services (wuauserv, cryptSvc, bits, msiserver), renamed SoftwareDistribution and catroot2 folders, restarted services. - *System file check:* sfc /scannow completed successfully - no integrity violations found. - *Registry check:* EditionID, ProductName, InstallationType all show correct values. - *Service status:* All relevant services are running properly. *The Problem:* After all preparations, the KB4534310 installer (downloaded both via Windows Update and manually from Microsoft Update Catalog) consistently gives error: *"This update is not applicable to your computer."* *Notable observation:* The C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsUpdate folder is missing on the system, even after completely resetting Windows Update components. I would greatly appreciate any help in identifying the root cause. Are there any additional logs or diagnostic tools that could pinpoint the issue? Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Thank you in advance for any suggestions!26Views0likes0CommentsShould I use Windows 7?
Hi, I am fed up with the rubbish on Win11 and (less) on Win10 especially with telemetry and broken windoes images. So, I am really considering installing Win 7 on a PC I use as a file server. I know Win 7 does not receive any security updated but I was wondering if a good antivirus with firewall should be enough.35Views0likes1CommentHi community, i am really stuck and i need your help please!
I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bits 2009, Intel(R) Core (TM) i3-3217U CPU, I'm facing a problem which is that many many many software don't work for me , they eaither require 8.1 windows update or NET Framwork 4.6 Update ( by the way i have 3.5 version). My search for updates doesn't work, when i try to update NET framwork it doesn't work either. So i downloaded windows 8.1 autonomous mode from Microsoft official website, it downloaded 7 files - windows 8.1 KB2919355 x64 - windows 8.1 KB2932046 x64 - windows 8.1 KB2934018 x64 - windows 8.1 KB2937592 x64 - windows 8.1 KB2938439 x64 - windows 8.1 KB2959977 x64 - clearcomperessionflag (.exe) when i run this application it says this app is not valide Win32 and when i try to run one of the windows 8.1 autonomous file it says error 0xc8000222 or that that these files require wusa.exe and this app it doesn't work for me. So please guys anyone has an idea how to solve this problem, i just need to update from windows 7 to windows 8.1, And what is required from me in order to update it? is windows 8.1 free or not ?
