I'm using Azure Virtual Desktop on my Windows 11 laptop with 2 additional monitors attached. I've configured my AVD connection to use the 2 additional monitors (2 and 3), so I could use my laptop screen for local actions. This works fine, until I upgraded to release 1.2.5105.0, because then, despite the configuration of using monitor 2 and 3, the laptop screen (1) and monitor 2 were used. The problem disappeared after a downgrade to a previous version3.4KViews8likes14CommentsProblems connecting with the Virtual Desktop
After using this for a month at this point, it suddenly stopped working on itself. It has an error message stating that it needs to "initialize to an empty state" after "a part of the process has locked a portion of the file." There is no way I am aware of that can get an elaboration of what the problem is. I've tried logging in to my virtual desktop on a separate device, but it does not work. Any help or advice would be appreciated since there is no other method (that I'm aware of) that can allow me to contact support.27Views0likes3CommentsSupport for start menu integration for RemoteApps
Customers of us want to have the ability to start appps directly via start menu, as it was possible with Citrix: https://support.citrix.com/external/article?articleUrl=CTX215624-published-app-shotcuts-on-start-menu-configuration It allows seamless access to remote apps We believe it is a great feature missing on AVD/Windows365 which would improve user adoption and experience by making access to remote apps fast, seamless and highly user-friendly.100Views9likes2CommentsWindows App - Account Picker During Startup
Windows App is showing additional improvements to the overall VDI experience. As an Architect working for a consulting company, I have multiple clients with AVD environments I have to log into. One of the major benefits of Remote Desktop is that when opening, the window provides visibility to all signed in accounts. With Windows App, when opening the application, I'm in the most recent account. To benefit us that work in multiple environments, allow us the capability to choose which account I want to work in when opening the application. If Windows App only has one account associated, it can default to that account. But if there are two accounts present, allow the user to choose which one they want to go into at the onset.Windows 11 MultiSession 23h2 User Photo Bug
If a user changes their icon in the start menu, the profile picture is changed to the same for all users who are logged in to the same Windows 11 multi session + FSLogix session host. Fortunately, this doesn't happen in Teams / Outlook! This is a bug with MultiSession + Fslogix. Does anyone have any news on whether MS will fix the bug? Other guys have the same issue https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/idea/azurevirtualdesktop/bug-with-profile-picture-on-avd--windows-11-multi-user/4180592403Views5likes2CommentsSupport URI schemes like ms-avd:connect across all platforms in Windows App
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/uri-scheme We would like to request the implementation of support for URI schemes, such as ms-avd:connect, in the latest Windows App. Currently, this feature is available only in MSRDC. We are developing a web app portal running in the browser that allows users to connect to their Azure Virtual Desktop instances. Having this feature in the Windows App across all platforms (including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS) would significantly benefit our development and provide a seamless experience for our users.Host Pools session hosts list
Large number of session hosts (1700+) is difficult to handle. Following suggestions would help: Allow to customize the the filters on the different columns Filter on Power State Filter on Health State Filter on user (with wild cards) Allow to export in CSV with filters applied Today, the CSV export exports all the VMs whatever the filter It is a workaround of the lack of filters on different fields Thanks for reading28Views1like0CommentsFrequent AVD Deployment Failures
Since June 2024, we have experienced occasional failures in AVD deployments. While most deployments succeed through adding session hosts to the host pool, there are instances where the deployment fails. Given this situation, we would like to request a change in behavior to reduce the burden of recreating AVDs when deployment fails.Integrate AVD Session Launch at the Windows Login Screen (Similar to Windows 365 Boot)
I propose that Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) be integrated directly into the Windows login process, similar to how Windows 365 Boot operates. Currently, users must first log in locally and then manually start the AVD client. By enabling AVD to launch as part of the initial login (with Single Sign-On support), the transition from the local environment to the cloud-hosted desktop would become seamless, mirroring the convenience provided by Windows 365 Boot. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/windows-365-boot-overview) Benefits: Enhanced User Experience: Users would access their AVD session immediately after logging in, streamlining their workflow. Simplified Process: Eliminates the need for additional login steps or manual client launches, reducing complexity and potential errors. Efficiency Gains: Particularly beneficial for thin clients and shared environments, this integration would lead to a more efficient deployment and use of resources.152Views1like0CommentsRemote Desktop image quality worsens
After updating the https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/whats-new-client-windows to version 1.2.5807, the image quality of the remote desktop has worsened and text has become blurred. This is most noticeable when the text is red on a dark background, e.g. error messages in the terminal. Any solutions? Thanks.200Views0likes4Comments
