In some situations, it is handy to drag and drop files from a local endpoint to for example AVD remote app. For example when using Outlook on the local endpoint and wanting to archive attachments in the ERP application (legacy app) hosted in a remote app. Copy and paste works but is not user-friendly in this situation.6.8KViews98likes9CommentsMultiple monitor issue after upgrade to 1.2.5105.0
I'm using Azure Virtual Desktop on my Windows 11 laptop with 2 additional monitors attached. I've configured my AVD connection to use the 2 additional monitors (2 and 3), so I could use my laptop screen for local actions. This works fine, until I upgraded to release 1.2.5105.0, because then, despite the configuration of using monitor 2 and 3, the laptop screen (1) and monitor 2 were used. The problem disappeared after a downgrade to a previous version3.5KViews8likes14CommentsCannot use Remote Desktop with SteamVR
There is a serious and very old (goes back years) problem with using Remote Desktop with SteamVR. Basically it won't work properly, your VR Headset display will not function correctly (in my case it's solid teal until I reboot and access it without using RDP), and also the Oculus app will be unable to access the Oculus Services that it requires, and will fail to run. What appears to be happening is that while RD is in fact logging into the correct (and only, in my case) user session, some part of it behind the scenes is logging in as "unknown user". On occasion I have even glimpsed this username being logged-in-as briefly before connection completes. This causes the Oculus and SteamVR services to fail in some places and just generally causes havoc with VR. I have a dedicated laptop that runs in another room, which I use for VR. I access it remotely from a computer in my play room, to keep its heat and noise away from me. It is extremely frustrating to have to physically walk to the other room and launch things from the machine locally, then come back to my room, and go back & forth every time I need to touch anything within Steam/Oculus app. Oculus very clearly disclaims any responsibility for this issue and points the finger at MSFT, so I'm hoping you guys can look into and address this issue. VR users the world over, will appreciate it.3.3KViews2likes6CommentsCan't update to New Outlook on Azure Virtual Desktop
It's not possible to update from Outlook Win32 to Monarch on Azure Virtual Desktop. For the intended purposes using the OWA client doesn't resolve. Once you toggle the pop up displays it's downloading, but stays there forever.2.6KViews4likes5CommentsRemote Desktop Client May Releases causing problems when moving App to another Monitor.
Using Remote Desktop Client for Windows. For the last few weeks, our Users that have multiple monitors are reporting a problem when moving an application to the other screen, the open applications freeze. Things we tried: *We have tried updating Remote Desktop and rolling-back. The March version 1.2.4066 solved the problem. *Changing the Primary Display to the other Monitor. *Delete the user profile for AVD. *Update the Display Drivers. *We can reproduce the problem on our Windows 11 AVD Server and our Windows 10 AVD Server. Any help will be appreciated.1.9KViews2likes7CommentsiPad Magick Keyboard support for VirtualBox Windows Guest
Hi there, I work in following scenario: 1. iPad Pro (12,9“, iOS 15.2.1) with Magic Keyboard (Swiss Layout) 2. On the iPad, I use the app Microsoft Remote Desktop 10.3.6 (5090) 3. In the app, I RDP to a Windows 11 desktop machine 4. In the RDP, I use VirtualBox to a Windows 10 VM. Problem: The Magic Keyboard is NOT recognized correctly in the VM from (4.). For example, the physical keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 will produce the signs „n“, „m“, „,“ and „.“, while other keys do not produce anything. Physical keys like D and F react as if they were arrow keys. Most keys do not react at all. Note, that the keyboard works perfectly fine on the iPad itself AND on the RDP Machine from (3.). But solely NOT in the Virtual Box (4.). I don‘t suspect an issue with the language setting, since this problem affects ALL characters (a-z and 1-9) and not the special characters only. Hopefully, this can be solved soon, since it would be very convenient to work with that keyboard and RDP/VB setting.1.8KViews1like3CommentsFSLogix - Add the ability to exclude specific files from ODFC containers
The ability to exclude specific files/directories from ODFC containers like we can with Profile containers. We’ve discovered some pretty severe bloat occurring (specifically the issue with %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\Cache Storage) and the ability to exclude that from the ODFC container would save a huge amount of disk space when multiplied by our thousands of users.1.5KViews12likes2CommentsFSLogix - Set Outlook cached mode to specific number of days if the profile fails to attach
Add ability to set Outlook cache to a specific number of days if the profile fails to attach. Currently, FSLogix can set Outlook to online mode if the VHDx container fails to attach to the session. A new registry key to allow FSLogix set the sync period in Outlook and keep Outlook in cached mode. Right now we use the “Set Outlook cached mode on successful attach” but this is a simple on/off and in some of our sites Outlook is too slow when running in online only mode, it would be nice to be able to set the cache to 30/60/90 days or whatever on successful attach but leave the fallback position to be something like 3 days.1.5KViews16likes0CommentsAdd USB passthrough for Remote Desktop app
As a mobile developer I work with both Mac and PC. I use Remote Desktop to connect to a devbox from my Mac for developing Android apps. It would be really nice to have USB pass through on Remote Desktop app so that I can debug from the workspace to the USB connected physical phone.1.4KViews20likes2CommentsFSLogix - Change Event 81 from a Warning level to an Informational level
