I just installed the 1910 version of windows admin center on my windows 10 pro pc. Whenever I click on connect i get the error of: Connection error Connecting to remote server gaming-laptop failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot process the request. The following error with errorcode 0x8009030e occurred while using Negotiate authentication: A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated. Possible causes are: -The user name or password specified are invalid. -Kerberos is used when no authentication method and no user name are specified. -Kerberos accepts domain user names, but not local user names. -The Service Principal Name (SPN) for the remote computer name and port does not exist. -The client and remote computers are in different domains and there is no trust between the two domains. After checking for the above issues, try the following: -Check the Event Viewer for events related to authentication. -Change the authentication method; add the destination computer to the WinRM TrustedHosts configuration setting or use HTTPS transport. Note that computers in the TrustedHosts list might not be authenticated. -For more information about WinRM configuration, run the following command: winrm help config. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic. I an unsure what to do at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.12KViews1like6CommentsHow to managed Active Directory using Windows Admin Center
Hello, Can I manage Active Directory using Windows Admin Center ? If yes, please provide the link to give me the documentation on the same. I can see that the Active Directory extension is in preview stage: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/manage/windows-admin-center/use/manage-servers#active-directory-preview but this document is dated 2019. Any help on the above mentioned is appreciated. Thanks Sushanth Amin9.7KViews0likes1CommentWindows Admin Center 2110 - Storage Migration Service (Missing Start Transfer button)
Hi guys, testing out Storage Migration Service on the latest Windows Admin Center version 2110. At the transfer phase, somehow the Start Transfer button to start the migration is missing. Anyone else facing this? All validation is passed and tested on a few different VMs and its still showing the same. Is this a bug, or am i missing something? I am having a problem similar to this one https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-admin-center/now-available-windows-admin-center-1910-2-insider-preview/m-p/1268854/thread-id/908 where I installed Windows Admin Center, logged in via my browser on my desktop, and WAC can't get information about the host computer. Whenever I try to visit things under Server Manager like "Services" I get errors like "Error Couldn't query the computer inventory". My setup is a little different than the example I used. My host named my computer server.example.com so I have to access WAC via the server's IP address because example.com is a website running on the source machine that I need to migrate to the destination machine. When my host asked me to give them a domain name I just picked one that I planned to host with them. Right now server.example.com is hosted elsewhere, so if WAC tries to query the address https://server.example.com:443 it will of course find a different machine. Is there a way to make WAC search by IP address instead of domain?5.2KViews0likes1CommentCan't connect to Hyper-V Converged Cluster
I've raised a bug here - https://windowsserver.uservoice.com/forums/295071-management-tools/suggestions/37729852--bug-can-t-connect-ti-hyper-v-converged-cluste I've installed Windows Admin Center with high availability following https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/manage/windows-admin-center/deploy/high-availability. I can connect to nodes in the cluster fine through WAC, however when I try to add the cluster it says it can't find the name. If I click on one of the nodes it gives the FQDN of the cluster, I click it and it adds it as a connection but when I try to access it, it complains that WINRM couldn't not process the operation. I've tried it with two different clusters on our network. Any ideas?4.5KViews0likes2Comments(Ask) WinRM Cannot Process the Request - Windows Admin Center 1910
Hello All, I have a problem when using the Windows Admin Center. I am currently trying to deploy Hyperconverged through the Windows Admin Center. When arrived at the Clustering step namely Validate Cluster I found an Enable CredSSP error. I have already tried to solve the Enable CredSSP problem. But when I repeat step-by-step deployment of hyperconverged from the start I encounter a new error when choose network management that previously was not error. The error is WinRM cannot process the request. The following error with code 0x8009030e occured while using Negotiate authentication: A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated. Has anyone ever encountered this error and is there a solution for this error. The great thing about Windows Admin Center (WAC) you manage every Windows Server doesn't matter where it is running. You can manage Windows Servers on-prem, in Azure or running at other cloud providers. Now if you want to use Windows Admin Center to manage your virtual machines running in Azure, you can use either an on-prem WAC installation and connecting it using a public IP address or a VPN connection, or you can deploy and install Windows Admin Center in Azure. This blog post will show you how you can deploy and install Windows Admin Center in an Azure virtual machine (VM).
