Microsoft Build 2022
11 TopicsAnnouncing Public Preview of the SAP CDC solution in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics
UPDATE! We've launched the new SAP connector in ADF today, June 30, 2022, and updated the blog post below accordingly. For decades, companies have relied on Microsoft and SAP software to run their most mission-critical operations. Today, we’re excited to launch public preview of SAP Change Data Capture (CDC) in Azure Data Factory (ADF). Combining a new data connector with predefined data flow templates, this solution streamlines the integration of SAP data within core Azure services like Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Machine Learning. The new SAP ODP connector leverages SAP Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) framework, which is an established best practice for data integration within SAP landscapes. ODP provides access to a wide range of sources across all major SAP applications and comes with built-in CDC capabilities. In combination with the predefined data flow templates to process and update the changed records to any sink, this makes SAP data integration into Azure very much straight forward.41KViews15likes18CommentsAnnouncing Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server for business-critical workloads
Enhancing what was formerly known as the Memory Optimized service tier, the Business Critical service tier offers lower IO latency along with higher availability and scalability. The Business Critical tier is ideal for running Tier 1 mission-critical MySQL workloads on Azure.10KViews0likes4CommentsIntroducing User Defined Functions preview for mapping data flows in ADF and Synapse
Mapping data flows, in Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics, is the scale-out data transformation feature that allows data engineers to build low-code ETL jobs visually and execute using serverless Spark compute. Now with User Defined Functions (preview), you can quickly build reusable function logic to share across multiple mapping data flows.6.4KViews2likes0CommentsAnnouncing the "Azure SQL Database External REST Endpoints Integration" Early Adoption Program
A new, exciting capability for Azure SQL Database has been announced today at //Build: Azure SQL Database has a new built-in feature that allows native integration with external REST endpoints. This means that integration of Azure SQL Database with Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Cognitive Services, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Azure Containers, API Management and in general any REST or even GraphQL endpoint is just one line of code away. This feature is one of the most requested by developers and MVPs and it enormously reduces the friction for developers to integrate Azure services with Azure SQL Database.2.8KViews2likes0CommentsLedger now generally available in Azure SQL Database
Ledger is now generally available in Azure SQL Database! Ledger is a new technology that offers the power of Blockchain into Azure SQL Database. We’re making the data in SQL tamper-evident, while keeping the flexibility and performance of a traditional database that can be centrally managed.8.7KViews1like0Comments
