How do I hide Office 365 Group email addresses from the OFFLINE Global Address List? They are hidden from the normal Global Address list via PowerShell commands. However, I cannot get them to be hidden in the OFFLINE Global Address List Here are the steps I've taken so far: Note: We are federated and synch from AD on prem to Azure AD Used the HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled cmdlet This was successful in removing the group from the "groups" section in my Outlook left hand navigation I also believe it serves a dual purpose of also hiding the email address from the standard Global Address List. I've seen folks say that HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled will only remove the group from Outlooks navigation section; however, the Microsoft documentation says that HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled will automatically evoke the HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $True function. Just to be on the save side, I ran the HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $True separately and I received a notice that the cmdlet ran successfully but that no changes were made...which verifies what I said above Additionally, I updated the Offline Global address book via the "send/receive" tab in the Outlook client After doing all of this, I am still able to search for and find the hidden group in the OFFLINE Global Address List. The normal Global Address List is working as expected. However, this does me no good if the Offline Global Address List is still showing an Office 365 group email address that I want to be hidden. Also, it has NOT been 24 hours since I hid the email. Maybe I just need to be patient enough for the Offline Global Address List to update on its own.Solved9.5KViews0likes3CommentsMigrating Shared Mailbox to O365 Group?
If we have a shared mailbox, lets say a years worth of history of emails, several folders in it, and we want to "migrate" over to an O365 Group: Does the conversations/inbox of a group have folder capabilities like a Shared Mailbox? Can you drag and drop/copy old emails into the group somehow? Can you drag and drop/copy conversations into your mailbox somehow? I had assumed the Group conversations acted like a shared mailbox, but now that we are testing it out, I dont really see that at all.Solved47KViews2likes14CommentsIs there a "Sent" folder for an O365 Group Conversation?
If I grant a user access to SendAs the O365 Group, and they send an email "as the group", and they don't copy themself, where does that email actually go. I can't find any record of it anywhere inside the group (only in the inbox of the recipient).21KViews2likes18CommentsConvert O356 Group to personal mailbox
Im trying to convert a O365 group to a personal mailbox. I'll do it manually, because I know that there is no way to do this in Exchange Center. My O365 group is client1@mydomain.com. I already created a personal mailbox named client1-mail@mydomain.com So this is my plan: Migrate all the mails from the group to the personal mailbox Change group mailbox alias to client1-old@mydomain.com Change personal mailbox alias to client1@mydomain.com Do you think this is possible? is the best approach? and finally, is there a way to send all the O365 old mails to the personal mailbox? Thank you in advance and sorry about my english.7.6KViews1like5CommentsConvert O365 Group to Shared MB
Is there a way to convert a O365 group to a shared mailbox; or at least move all of the emails/conversations from an O365 group to a shared mailbox? I know that it is recommended to use O365 groups rather than shared mailboxes, however, until I can easily setup a way to automatically send "from" an O365 group, it is just easier to open up a shared mailbox from OWA and use that. My use case is I want a "office@company.com" email address that I can assign to the office secretary and yet have the secretary have their own account. This way, the person in the secretary position changes, I can just re-assign the "office@company.com" email and all of the associated information (contacts, calendar, etc).89KViews2likes8CommentsOffice 365 groups not visible in Outlook client

We have a (Teams) group called 'Development' with a group email address that is public and used for alerts and such. I've discovered that when I go to the Sharepoint page of the group there is a 'conversations' tab that links to the group. I use the Outlook PWA so it takes me to a new browser tab: This view is very useful because I can see all the group mail in one place instead of my main inbox. So I star this group and it'll shows up in my favorites. Note that this URL is 'outlook.office365.com' and not 'outlook.office.com', if I go to my installed outlook PWA the favorite is not there and it is not searchable in my groups. If I close and reopen outlook trough office.com the favorite is also gone. If I uninstall the PWA and reinstall the Outlook PWA from the view where the group is added to favorites (the office365.com url) it will also not show and use office.com. The group view only viewable via the Sharepoint Homepage which is unfortunate. Is this a caching, start_url or other issue. Also, it would be great if the actual email address created via the Teams group is not capitalized like the group name.1.9KViews0likes1Comment
