Hello Community, Ever wondered if we can appear Offline in Skype for Business? Well, then you are at the right place. To enable "Appear Offline" add the below registry (create it if not present) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync] "EnableAppearOffline"=dword:0000000165KViews1like3CommentsSfB isn't for everyone - what can be done?
Hi, 20 % of the workforce is doing their work on Linux and the remaining is on Windows. Our challenge is to find collaboration solution that can work for everyone - sometime. We are trying to identify the top 5 pains and then look for one or several technical solutions to bridge the gap between the Linux and Windows communities. Is it someone here that has been able to find a good enough solution for screen sharing, video meetings etc?1KViews0likes2CommentsMS Phone System - SMS texting?
We have a number of field personnel setup with Teams/PSTN calling plans. They assumed that their PSTN number would be able to send/receive SMS text messages to interact with people outside the organization, but this doesn't seem to be the case. (Apparently RingCentral supports this?) We just had one field sales rep complain that their lead had been texting her, but she never received the text messages. Of course we don't want to share personal mobile numbers with business contacts, and having a separate PSTN number and Mobile cell #'s just to support this seems excessive and old school, but maybe that's the only solution. Are there any plans to support this type of functionality? I don't necessarily care whether it's Teams or Skype for Business client based - but the ability to interface Microsoft Phone System PSTN with SMS is what we need. I see some third party products that give you the ability to text from SfB, but they do so by assigning you a dedicated additional telephone number - clearly not the solution that would work for us. Thanks in advance! Bob8.1KViews1like4CommentsSend a 'broadcast' message
Hi! We are looking for a way to send a message to a group of users (maybe all) in a kind of broadcast way. For example an alert like "please disconnect from that system bla bla" or "we have this new feature, please answer in case of bla bla" Any idea on how to do it? Thanks!15KViews0likes8CommentsChat history between windows and ios

Hello, I have lost my SfB OWA integration ("online meeting" - Icon and presence status) in the on prem environment (SfB 2015, Exchange 2013) after the OAuth Cert on Exchange side was expired. I instantly renewed it via ECP but still no OWA integration. Even creating a new one via powershell and authorizing it did not the trick. Checked OAuth on Skype side: get-CsOAuthConfiguration Identity : Global PartnerApplications : {Name=Exchange;ApplicationIdentifier=0 0000002-0000-0ff1-ce00-000000000000;Re alm=contoso.com;ApplicationTrustLevel =Full;AcceptSecurityIdentifierInformat ion=False;Enabled=True} OAuthServers : {} Realm : ServiceName : 00000004-0000-0ff1-ce00-000000000000 ClientAuthorizationOAuthServerIdentity : ExchangeAutodiscoverUrl : https://autodiscover.contoso.com/Auto discover/Autodiscover.svc ExchangeAutodiscoverAllowedDomains : Checked connectivity on Exchange side: Test-CsExStorageConnectivity -SipUri "sip:jeff@contoso.com" -Verbose and it passes that test. I am wondering that SfB integration in Outlook 2016 on MAC (!) is not broken although this is doing only https as well. (On PC everything is fine, too). Any ideas on this?Solved1.1KViews0likes1CommentMultiple chats sessions with same contact in S4B window ?
I see multiple instances of chats with the same contact. This is really cluttering up my Skype for Business app window in both my mobile iOS and my desktop app. Example: Chat session with Joe at 10:00 for 10 minutes Chat session with Joe again at 14:00 for 15 minutes Now I see two separate chat streams with the same contact. Why isn't this singular? If I have a chat session with Joe and i do not actively remove/delete that chat session, shouldn't it just continue the next time one of us write? Is this by design? Do I need to adjust something in Skype for Business Admin on 365? I am using latest builds . iOS Version 6.11.1.310 and Mac OSX 16.2.156 Please help, this is sure to cause complaints amongst staff and I expect will introduce user acceptance numbers to drop. Especially if this is to be compard to WhatsApp, or any attempt to replace WhatsApp. Cheers p56KViews1like192Commentsunable to sign in with auto configuration
Hi, I am having difficulty to sign in sfb on premises with automatic configuration. Manual works fine. The following gathered from fiddler. We can see it is resolving lyncdiscoverinternal.domain.com (autodiscover) and it was tunnel to lyncwebint.domain.com. However it is not directing to hostname lyncwenint.domain.com. It just stuck on tunneling, failed and continue with other autodiscover method (autodiscover remaining) The fiddler has https decryption enabled. What is the likely cause here? Thanks!1.1KViews0likes3Comments
