No, it's not my pc, or my monitor. HDR enabled video work perfectly on (Windows 11) CHROME, AND OTHER (Windows 11) PC GAMES. IF SOMEONE HAS AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND HOW ARE THEY NOT AWARE? Why is Microsoft so dysfunctional. FIX THIS NOW or I'LL BE GOING BACK TO CHROME! Hello, My laptop supports HDR video playback, but only that, out of the three options available in Windows 10, see below: The old Edge has been supporting the playback of HDR YouTube videos on my computer. However, Google Chrome hasn't and now the new Chromium based Edge doesn't support HDR YouTube videos (or any other HDR content for that matter) either. Can you please look into this and implement HDR video streaming support into the new Edge similar to the way the old one worked?16KViews0likes7CommentsHDR Streaming support?
Hi, Is there any chance, HDR Streaming support will be ever added? It was working fine in the non-chromium Edge, however, once it is updated it is no longer working, same applies for Firefox and Chrome. I believe it might something to do with the UWP app, but then again, having such a feature and not able to use it is very bad. You might think not all people do watch HDR content, but it's not true, Netflix and many other provider, like YouTube and such can handle HDR, but once we are on the new Chromium which I very like, but the lack of HDR Streaming drives me crazy. Please add this or somehow fix.Solved3.1KViews1like3CommentsStream HDR Edge Insider
Today I switched to edge insider after using beta. I saw that it replaced my old version of edge, which made me excited to see if Stream HDR worked on it (The stream HDR function is designed to work with preinstalled applications and microsoft store applications. As this replaced replaced my old version of edge, I had cause to believe that it would also have stream HDR support). However, I went to youtube to look watch test videos in HDR (ones that supplied stream HDR support with the old version of edge) and youtube did not provide HDR streaming with Edge Insider. It is possible this is just a youtube issue, anyone use any other websites to test HDR streaming? Note: yes HDR streaming is turned on in 'windows HD color settings' and yes 'don't allow hdr streaming on battery' is turned off (doesn't matter since I am testing it while plugged in.1.5KViews0likes5Comments
