Edge Apps
3 TopicsFeature Request - Add Sidebar to Microsoft Edge Apps
I find the new sidebar mobile sites feature very useful. I am a Windows 11 user, so I could previously always just use Windows 11 snap layouts to drag one site to the left and one to the right. But with sidebar mobile sites, as seen in the image, the two sites are now a "locked pair" that can be moved around and resized independently. I also like the Edge "apps" feature that opens a site in a dedicated window. It helps me organize my window layout better and sometimes helps me keep focus better. However, it appears that the sidebar cannot be activated in Edge apps. I can hit Ctrl + Shift + E to open sidebar search, but I can't activate any of the other sidebar apps.467Views0likes0CommentsEdge Chromium's URL bar randomly appear inside web app
I installed Netflix site as an app because for some reasons it runs better than its native app and everything work out for a while but after a few months or sometimes weeks Edge Chromium's URL bar randomly appear inside the app which is veryfrustration because it prevents the player from going into full screen mode while watching movies or TV Show and also it doesn't look good either. AlsoWorth noting that it doesn't appear all the time, It's only appeared once I'm searching or watching the show. I usually fix this by uninstall the apps and reinstall them back and it'd usually be working. But in heavy case I have to completely uninstall edge itself and reinstall it back just to fix one minor problem and after a few months, the problem is coming back again. It's a very weird behavior I try searching for solution but no one seems to have the problem except me. Where I do enjoy alot of the features of Edge. One has puzzled me. I do enjoy being able to create an App from a website, I also enjoy how it shows up as a legit app, even in Add Remove Programs. However, I mentally keep the browser and the apps separate in my mind. Edge however does not. For me, when I close out the browser, and I have "Continue where I left off" set. Imagine my disappoint when I open up the browser, and what opens is the web page of the last "App" that I closed. and my actual browser history is buried further down in the History feed. Also frustrating, its not remembering the group of tabs that I had open, instead each link's history in listed individually. Some of these links I have not opened in over a week, so they are buried even further. So for now the lesson is, always close out Edge last, and not an Edge App. I will troubleshoot this more, because I really want it to work.Solved2.5KViews2likes6Comments
