Hello, We are facing an issue with one of our infrastructures. Our servers are running Skype 2015 with clients using Skype for Business 2016 on their computers (Don't ask me why, we acquired the clients this way and they don't want to change :D). For 3 users out of more than 3000, we are experiencing problems with Skype delegation through Outlook when trying to schedule Skype meetings. Every time they attempt to create a Skype meeting for the person they have delegated for, they receive an error stating that they do not have the rights to do so... even though they do. We have: Verified the SIP addresses and everything is okay. Deleted and re-created the sharing, but the issue persists. MAPI connection on the Skype clients is functioning correctly. Tested with a new Outlook profile, which worked fine. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks a lot537Views0likes1CommentSkype starts a "busy phone sound and disconnect sound" in the headphones
ello I got a lot of users who are complaining of a "busy phone sound and disconnect sound" playing in a loop in the headphones (jabra, poly or private). Its start most of the time when coming out of standby( some not), returning from homework, connecting to the dock. There is no clear line in it. the only way to stop it is to stop skype app and the skype background process. after restarting skype its gone for a while. There are no outgoing calls in the logs. it just plays the sound without stopping I updated all drivers and firmware of the hardware. All patches are in place. I can not replicate the trigger or the sound. Edition Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2 Installed on 1/06/2022 OS build 19042.2364 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0 Skype® for Business for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2202 Build 16.0.14931.20858) 64-bit I can not replicate the issue. So can't test it on web.skype. I spend a lot of time of disconnecting replugging everything to trigger it or to stop it. Only killing the app and background process wil stop it. and then it does not come back. Until whatever trigger it3.6KViews0likes4CommentsAppear offline in Skype for Business
Hello Community, Ever wondered if we can appear Offline in Skype for Business? Well, then you are at the right place. To enable "Appear Offline" add the below registry (create it if not present) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync] "EnableAppearOffline"=dword:0000000165KViews1like3Commentsincoming caller ID with Response Group showing number from previous call (PSTN only!)
Dear Community, we are facing a issue since about 11/2021 that incoming calls through RGS showing the false number. users only get the last telephone number from the previous call with new calls. all log files (like reporting database, or local s4b logs) are showing correct telephone numbers to the calls. only the S4B Client itself shows the previous caller id on an active call. the "standard" troubleshooting steps are already done (like clearing cache, etc...) - but this does not help. the problem seems similar to following threads: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/278753/incoming-caller-id-with-response-group-showing-sam.html https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/520062/caller-id-issue-when-a-call-is-received-to-a-respo.html does anybody have similar issues...? or better, are there some solutions? overview: S4B 2019 Standard with May 2021 Update Office 365 semi-annual channel (so version 2021) s4b client: 16.0.13801.21148 We will try to update to the latest S4B Server Update (12/2021) because there are many fixes... but there is nothing in the change log which indicates a fix for this issue. hello, i'm having a strange issue with a users notebook, maybe you guys have some tipps for me what we can try. skype for business is crashing (starting, logon, crash) when the notebook is only connected thought celluar connection. if the user is switching e.g to a wlan connection or lan connection skype is starting working again without issues. when the user disconnects from wlan/lan and start again to work with the celluar connection, skype is crashing again. all other applications are working with celluar connection with no issues. we've tried to clear the s4b cache, we have also tried to repair the o365 pro plus installation. of course we also have updated the wwan drivers. Hi, I am hoping someone can help with this one. We are removing the old cyphers from a customers inhouse Skype for Business 2015 implementation, but we have come across a problem. We used iiscrypto to remove the old cyphers on the edge, proxy and skype server and they seemed to work okay, but we then heard from the customer to say the phones aren't connecting in to the Skype Server. The only way we have managed to resolve this is to roll back to use the old cyphers, can anyone help me to remove the old cyphers and keep the clients working? Client - Skype for Business 2016 (16.0.5065.1000) Server - Skype for Business 2015 (6.0.9319.548) Any help appreciated. alamb200747Views0likes0Comments
