SharePoint or Stream - Option that allows content to be downloaded by all company employees
Good afternoon to everyone. My name is Leonardo Fonseca and I currently work as an administrator in a company located in Brazil. Hi all, We have been working on getting our videos migrated into Stream on SharePoint, but the project has run longer than expected and now we are past the cutoff and not even our global admins can access the remaining content we have to migrate. Is there any way to recover this content without having to open a ticket with MS? I have a couple spreadsheets with the links to all of our required videos if that is helpful.
Classic Stream Companywide Channels Migration
I can see multiple videos on our classic companywide channels but when I run the migration tool, it only migrates some of them not all of them. For Example: I have one company wide channel that has 33 total videos from different contributors, but when they are scanned it only shows 5 videos. Channels Classic StreamMigrated videos don't play 0xC00D36C4
Help I migrated 3 x user video containers on 2/13/24. It looked like it worked there were no errors in the MigrationLog.csv. The migrated videos are stored in users OneDrive's in a folder named 'Stream Migrated Videos'. The videos don't play. In OneDrive using Edge when I click the video it looks like it is going to play but the spinner on the black screen just spins and spins. There is a white dashed line around the video which I haven't seen before. When I download the video to my file system and try to play the .mp4 file with Windows Media Player I get a0xC00D36C4 error (attached). I tried to remigrate one of the user containers but this time the migration shows an error. I can't download the log though so I don't have any more details. I ran the Stream Classic Inventory script and it displays a destination path indicated the video was migrated. This report doesn't show any errors either. I haven't found any Microsoft documentation on this problem and how to fix it. I would appreciate suggestions or advice on how to address this. Thanks - GregRemoving Unwanted Videos from Containers
At present, there are over 5k containers with videos that I need to transfer from Classic Stream to SharePoint Online; however, i have over hundredsof containerscontaining over 1k videos. How can I remove unwanted videos from these containers. Also, is possibleto build custom containers with selected videos'? Thank You,
Stream Classic Migration Approach
We are in the early stages of planning to migrate videos from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint). We are first trying to understand our data by reviewing the Stream Classic video report and determine which videos to migrate, which videos can be deleted etc. How did you decide which videos to migrate? What are some parameters you used to determine which videos to migrate? For example, do you recommend migrating videos based on number of views? If so what threshold? Or migrate videos published after a certain date? Any tips, insights, and ideas are appreciated!Stream Classic Containers and Permissions
We are in the early stages of planning to migrate videos from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint). One of the Groups we have has a total of 250+ videos. 75 videos are in the group container, while 175 videos are in different user containers. What is the best way to get all of those videos in the group container to have them migrate together? Any tips, insights, and ideas are appreciated!Powerpoint 365 Keeps uploading to Classic Stream
Just quick question but we have disabled uploading for Stream Classic so manually no videos can be uploaded - that's great and it redirects to Stream SharePoint as intended BUT... PowerPoint 365 currently uploads to both Stream Classics and Stream Sharepoint and only emails the user about their videos on Classic. Any idea if there is a fix or something in the pipeline that will help move people across before we use the migration tool and disable classic altogether later in the year? This is to stop content being duplicated and speeding up the migration process in future so we can stop people linking to the classic content. Powerpoint has no option to choose destination I can see other than publish to stream. Thanks in advance!
