1 TopicError 0x8007000d when installing Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update (26300.9032)
Hi everyone, I'm currently running into an issue while trying to update to Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update (26300.9032). The installation has failed multiple times. Initially, Windows Update failed with error code 0x8007000D. To troubleshoot, I tried the following: Stopped the Windows Update (wuauserv) and BITS services. Renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder to force Windows Update to download a fresh set of update files. Ran: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth sfc /scannow Restarted the system after the repairs completed. DISM /RestoreHealth completed successfully, and sfc /scannow reported that Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Despite these steps, Windows Update continues to fail. To rule out Windows Update itself, I also downloaded the Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update (26300.9032) packages from UUP Dump and created an ISO. I then attempted an in-place upgrade by running setup.exe from the generated ISO while keeping my files and apps. The installation started normally, but after rebooting and completing part of the upgrade process, Windows rolled back to my previous build (26300.8935). Panther logs indicate a migration failure, including error 0x8007042B, after the original Windows Update failures with 0x8007000D. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a workaround? Any advice, troubleshooting steps, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.😄 Thank you!29Views1like1Comment
