Windows Server 2022 RDS shadowing - displaying black screen in viewer window
Hello,
I have implemented RDS services. The broker and the license server are located on the server that is the AD controller. The RDS host is a separate server. Both servers are Windows Server 2022 Standard.
Everything seems to be working fine, clients connect to the host and run applications from the created collections.
But if I want to run a preview of active sessions in the server manager, a black window opens with only the mouse pointer visible (I can see the user's movements). This happens for every session started by a domain user who does not have administrator rights. However, if the user is a domain administrator, the preview works properly.
Previously, when working with Windows Server 2012 R2, I did not have such problems.
Roman758 -We have this issue, as well. After researching for awhile, it seems that this is a known bug and MS is not interested in fixing it for some reason, so we are doing without that feature on the new remoteapp servers. It is not a show-stopper for us, as if a user is having a problem and we need to see it, we have many ways of seeing their screen (Teams, Windows Remote Assistance, etc. etc.
