Windows Server 2019 Event ID 472 ESENT error

Copper Contributor

Hello to all,

My server's application event log is posting the following error:

Log Name: Application
Source: ESENT
Date: 6/5/2023 11:05:44 AM
Event ID: 472
Task Category: Logging/Recovery
Level: Warning
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: dwdc01.S608094-AD01.CORP
Description:
taskhostw (3660,R,98) WebCacheLocal: The shadow header page of file C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\WebCacheV01.dat was damaged. The primary header page (32768 bytes) was used instead.

I have found a few posts on a general Google and Bing search stating to just delete the file. When trying this, an error states it cannot be done due to a "Host Process for Windows Tasks" being open. My first concern is just randomly deleting files that are part of the OS. Why would this error even exist as the server is a domain controller with no other uses? Can the error be ignored? I'd prefer to resolve it directly.

Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!
