We have a Windows 2012 Remote App server where we have setup a published an remote app. Users periodically use the published app to export a report to Excel.
Every 30 days it looks like the published app freezes to the user when they initiate an export to Excel. Excel needs the user to re-authenticate in the background and they can't see the prompt when using the published remote app.
To fix the issue, we directly RDP into the RDS server as the user, and re-authenticate Excel for the user by signing in and providing the MFA credentials. Which last 30 days.
Is there other way around this other then asking the user to directly RDP into the Remote Desktop Services server instead of using the published app so they can see the Excel authentication prompt?
