Inquiry Regarding Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Differences Between Windows 10 and Windows 11

Copper Contributor

Recently, our company encountered an issue where our systems were automatically upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Unfortunately, this upgrade led to compatibility problems with certain software that was originally designed for Windows 10. As a result, we have reverted our systems back to Windows 10.

We are now in the process of conducting an impact assessment to ensure that data generated while using Windows 11 does not face any issues when accessed on Windows 10. The software provider has informed us that the program relies on the Microsoft Visual C++ Library for handling numerical representations of raw data.

Could you kindly confirm if there are any known issues or potential risks associated with this downgrade? Specifically, we are concerned about whether the transition back to Windows 10 might compromise the integrity or accuracy of the raw data processed by this software. Additionally, any insights into other differences between Windows 10 and Windows 11 that could affect the handling of raw data would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your guidance.
