GPOs Applying Issues
Hello,
I just fixed an issue with my DFSR as seen in this last post. Now I don't believe DFSR will have anything to do with how GPOs are applied to computer unless there is a problem, but now that is fixed I don't think it should be the cause of my problem.
My problem; On boot computers are hanging up at "Applying <whatever> policy" for hours. DCDiag has a DFSR error still because of the 24 hour time, but another problem I see are sites and subnets for these sites. DC1 for example has an error: None of the IP addresses (10.10.10.10) of this Domain Controller map to the configured site 'MyState'
Simple enough fix to add the IP subnet to the 'MyState', but before I make more a of a mess, I also have a site named 'AnotherState' that I no longer need. There is an old DC left in there but has been gone forever. Before I right click and delete this bad boy any repercussions? There is also an old DC under 'MyState' that I plan on deleting.
Not sure if this fixed my hangup problem at clients, but I believe it is a start.
