Ameeno as I said, you're a mere troll, so your comment don't hurt you know. Does the current situation benefit Intel? Yes, somehow. Is there a grand scheme for that, as you're implying it? No. You are delusional to stay polite.
Do you realize that nested virtualization, especially for Hyper-V on AMD CPUs, is a specific combination of a scenario that, in spite of gaining steam, is still really not that common? Again, if you absolutely want nested on Hyper-V, go Intel, or wait a few more months. If you're so upset, cannot wait, or whatever (valid or not) reason, go VMWare or KVM on AMD. There are plenty of solutions. Having nested Hyper-V on AMD is super nice, but the world won't stop spinning if it's happening late.
proboszcz it's absolutely OK that you are upset about not getting this feature. Implying that this has been done on purpose is where you cross the line. This feature, especially in the mainstream desktop space, is definitely not an absolute must have, at least for a vast majority of users.
In the server space? Right, definitely, especially with Epyc gaining market shares. And guess what? It's coming, (see this topic) on both LTSC and semi-annual. For Windows 10? It's taking time. Is it bad? Yes. Is it something that should have people cry out loud? No. Because if that were, let me tell you one thing : I could be crying out loud about many things when any of these companies have done something simply stupid or, sometimes, border shady. But think about it this way : was it really shady, or just the way it is? And even more, is it worth getting mad at it? Definitely not. And don't get me wrong, everyone has the right to be upset. But implying things are this way on purpose is just meeeeh and doesn't bring anything positive. The tech community as a whole should just chill. See what Intel has been accused of regarding ECC? See how the community is reacting, saying DDR5 will be utter crap, now that it's coming to mainstream. Mainstream tech community is super toxic, like one of the most toxic you can think of. (and yet there are tons of them) I don't want to see this coming to the pro space, that's it.
