Re: New Web Widget in Edge Canary and Dev - controlled feature rollout
HotCakeX I am unable to see this feature in the "new tab page" section of the browser settings. I can only see ' preload page' option. How long will it take for this feature to roll out to everyone? I'm on the latest Version 90.0.782.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit).4.8KViews0likes1CommentRe: Introducing new Fluent Iconography for Microsoft Edge
Gekkouga Edge doesn't mean corner, or typical edges. It means staying on the bleeding edge of browser technology -_- Also, having rounded features does not make edge similar to chrome. The roundness is different in both of them, and will never be the same. Edge is making is look even better. Also, the fluent design is moving towards sleek, smooth, round icons, and much more. So it makes sense to see things from a better perspective.30KViews5likes0CommentsRe: Introducing new Fluent Iconography for Microsoft Edge
IrinaL The new fluent design icons are smooth, curvy, and amazing. Just looking at them feels satisfying. But, like always, there's a catch. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I'll upload a screenshot of what I found. Isn't the circled logo still the older one instead of the new one? I'm running Edge Version 88.0.702.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit). Is anyone else having this issue?30KViews9likes1CommentRegarding inbuilt VPN and/or TOR options for Edge (chromium)
Everyone prefers privacy over being exposed to the web. Mozilla Firefox offers an inbuilt VPN option in it's latest browsers, and Brave browser offers TOR option in it's inprivate mode. Similarly, if Edge provided any of these two, or both of these options (along with inprivate mode), how would you like it? As everyone would have used those other browsers, or used their features, you would've experienced the pros and cons of them. How useful would it be? If it would be useful, what are the scenarios they could be used in? Would you like to have them? Thanks in advance.Solved4.5KViews2likes8CommentsRe: Tab Preview - Discussion
Elliot Kirk Hello, I think the tab hover cards feature in the new edge is better compared to the tab preview pane in legacy. Reasons : 1. Aesthetically pleasing : This pops up on separate tabs and looks very nice 2. Takes up less space : It only shows the preview of each specific tab when we hover on it, as compared to a whole big pane opening up and showing all tabs, which I think takes lot of space and doesn't look so good either. So yeah, tab hover cards has successfully taken the place of tab preview, and I don't think it's really needed, it would only be a utility at best. Yet again, an option could be given to enable or disable tab preview pane, in the settings. Hope this throws some insight into the issue. Elliot Kirk Please enable the inking on web pages on this new Edge browser (The entire toolbar, highlighting, inking, erasing, snipping, sharing tools) which already existed on Edge legacy. Everyone who sees the feature will know what it is, and there is no confusion. So, a setting could be enabled to turn this feature on. That way, people can choose if they want it or not. They won't feel like this feature was forced on them. Everyone loved this feature, and used it a lot. Please enable the one note like inking toolbar. Hope this will be taken into consideration, and implemented for the betterment of edge, and the satisfaction of the users. Elliot Kirk There should be options in the settings, to enable set aside tabs, and warn on close features. If these are enabled, the user should be able to use them. If not, it will not work for them. This is the best way to avoid confusion for users who don't even know about these two features. Hope this will be looked into, and implemented, for the betterment of edge, and for the satisfaction of the users. Thank you4KViews2likes0Comments
