Re: RDS 2019 limit resources
Currently, There is not a way to do this in an RDSH. If you setup an RDVH server or VDI deployment, you can limit the RAM and CPU and IOPs directly from the HyperV console. With RDSH (session hosts) you cannot do this with any built in tool, You would have to install a third party tool to accomplish this task. Here is what I have found that may work. Processlasso is the application. Here is the link and cost. https://bitsum.com/get-process-lasso-server-edition/19KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Office Applications Uninstalled in the Terminal Server
First off, Are you utilizing the Click 2 Run service? As in do you have the proper licensing in place or are you just using a volume licensing for your users? I could see the system noticing there are different version of office installed and uninstalling one or the other because of what you have installed. Maybe these different versions are not compatible. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/install-and-use-different-versions-of-office-on-the-same-pc-6ebb44ce-18a3-43f9-a187-b78c513788bf see the link for more information. aljafar06221.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Folder Redirection
First thing I would check is make sure you have the GPO setup in the correct OU. I have created GPO before that apply to only Computers but created it in a Users OU. With GPOs you have to make sure that you have it in the correct location so that it affects the objects. Users\Computers. Beyond that, it is hard to diagnose something like this without seeing it. The other thing I would check is where is the GPO stored and can your PCs or Users access that location on the network. If you put it in the Sysvol location like standard practice, you should be fine. If you are not using the Sysvol, you have to make sure that the DCs are replicating correctly. The server could be running out of resources or loosing it's network connection. -Is there a backup running that could be taking all of the memory or CPU during this time? -Is it happening the same time everyday or at different times? -When it does happen are you able to remote to the server and all of its shares? -Is the server service running when it happens? -Could there be not enough IP address's on the DHCP side?Andre_KT_ZA -When you are having the problem is there a Time delay, or is the time on the Server different from the clients? -What is the reservation time set to for the DNS leases? thats all I have right now off the top of my head. Let me know if any of these fix your issue.4.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Domain Controllers in closed systems
Warbreed8311 I would want to know why they cannot be connected at the same time? This seems like a waste of time. What is the point. if you want to do this manually why not just turn off the NIC and connect to each through the iLO port and enable and disable the NIC instead of unplugging the network cable? At least then you will not be going to the server every time. Weird setup none-the-less.500Views0likes0CommentsRe: lookin for the right tools to solve a network problem server 2016
Try turning off the windows firewall. This will tell you if it is the firewall that is blocking the connection. Also, you need to make sure you can remote to the server directly. Check to make sure you can ping the other server when you are logged into the problem server. let me know how it goes.kilonova736Views0likes0Comments
