Re: Dev Channel update to 130.0.2808.0 is live.
Gouri_Murmu I already sent feedback through the browser. It seems hardware passkey authentication with PIN is broken. I can touch the passkey, and it prompts me for the PIN. But I cannot get the "PIN required" dialog to go away. Pressing Enter/Return or clicking "cancel" or "next" have no effect. The PIN required dialog just stays there. And the authentication does not complete.2.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dev Channel update to 119.0.2116.0 is live
Every time I restart the browser I lose all my authenticated sessions: google, github, microsoft, etc. I have to sign in to everything again, both personal profile and work profile. This has been happening for the past few weeks now. At first I thought it was related to the weekly Dev updates, but now I realize it's any restart; updates are just the most common time for me to restart the browser. Is this behavior expected? Did something change? Is there a setting I should be looking at? Thanks!2.9KViews1like0CommentsRe: Dev Channel update to 119.0.2109 is live
sweta_bandodker When upgrading to this build, and this happened last week too, I seem to be losing authentication cookies or something. On both my personal and work profiles, I lose my Google signin and have to sign in again, 2FA and the whole bit. Microsoft account too, I think. This never used to happen. Is this behavior expected? I am on MacOS 13.5.2, Intel chip.2.6KViews2likes3CommentsRe: Dev Channel update to 117.0.2007.0 is live
Instant crash on MacOS when starting the browser. I see my window and tabs come up and can read the URL in the URL bar... no page content shows... then the browser crashes immediately. How can I help provide info? Obviously I can't use the help/feedback menu since the browser is crashing.7.6KViews1like2CommentsRe: Dev Channel update to 116.0.1938.1 is live
Eric_E I'm experiencing extreme intermittent flickering on MacOS. All the Edge Dev windows go totally white and the proper content flickers in and out but is not legible. Never seen it before this version. This happened immediately after the update to this version (I pressed the "restart to update" button and the new version came up flickering right from the start). I quit and restarted and it went away.... but it just happened again, and it's somewhat reproducible: * Go to messages.google.com * hit the "Open In App" button next to the URL to launch the PWA * The "Messages" app launches, and all windows immediately start flickering.... both Messages and Edge Dev windows are illegible. * If I quit Messages the flickering stops. Where is the Bing button on mobile? Specifically Edge Dev for Android. The https://blogs.microsoft.com/blog/2023/02/22/the-new-bing-preview-experience-arrives-on-bing-and-edge-mobile-apps-introducing-bing-now-in-skype/ implies there should be one... I just got an update to Edge Dev for Android today (to version 112.0.1702.3; first update since Feb 22!) and there is still no Bing button that I can see. The two main ways I can see to get the new Bing on mobile are (1) search for something on Bing, then hit the "Chat" tab or (2) search Bing for "Bing AI" which (sometimes?) pops it up. Is there something more direct?2.6KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 108.0.1438.1 is now live!
Please urge the decision makers to reconsider. This is bad enough that you are destroying the Dev channel on MacOS. Your users have no choice but to leave for Canary or Beta, or for other browsers, and may never come back. There are probably still users who have not restarted for the upgrade yet and can be saved if you would stop rolling this build out or, better yet, push a rollback or a fix right away.2.5KViews2likes1CommentRe: Dev channel update to 105.0.1336.2 is now live!
stevexyz wrote: I'm on last week's "Version 105.0.1329.1 (Official build) Dev (x86_64)" on Mac OS. But when I check for update I get: "An error occurred. (Error code: 9) (Extra code: 0)". Updates were working OK until now. Any suggestions? Well, it resolved on its own and now I'm updated. Thanks!8.4KViews2likes1CommentRe: Dev channel update to 90.0.818.0 is live
josh_bodner Tab Hover Cards seem to be giving me a lot of trouble on MacOS. When trying to switch between tabs or, especially, close a tab, Edge seems to miss the clicks quite frequently. Sometimes I have to click two or three times to close a tab. This always seems to coincide with the hover cards popping up. I disabled the Tab Hover Cards flag and the issues seems to have gone away. Please let me know if I can provide further data to help nail this down. I'm using horizontal tabs.1.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 87.0.664.8 is live
josh_bodner On MacOS I lost all my cookies when the browser started up after installing this week's update. I'm on MacOS -- I got several dozen Keychain dialog boxes saying it couldn't find keychain to store <some-guid> or <some-random-string-of-characters>. I hit cancel over and over again until finally the browser started up. Everything was OK at that point, except all cookies were gone (e.g., had to log in everywhere again). It's possible I did this to myself by hitting "Cancel" at the keychain dialog over and over again -- but whatever the alternative was sounded even worse (it asked me if I wanted to "reset the keychain and lose all stored items" or something like that). The wording of it was sufficiently imprecise that it sounded like it could delete my whole MacOS keychain so I just hit Cancel. I remember seeing a reference to MacOS keychain handling in a prior week's build, but nothing in this week's. I don't mind losing all the cookies, but I hope those in the Beta or Stable channels do not have an experience like this with the next release.3.1KViews0likes0Comments
