New Tab wastes too much of the top of the page.
When I go Start MS Edge Beta, I open directly to the NEWS feed. Currently, at the top of the page is a picture. On it is a Search bar, a Settings icon and a bunch of large boxes showing recent sites. This means that I have to scroll down to get to the NEWS. Having the Search bar and Settings icon are a good idea. Recent sites should be in a History dropdown, somewhere off the page. The picture is nice, but it is in the way. My suggestion is to: Lose the picture and recent sites. Move the Search bar and Settings icon to the top of the page. "Other Favorites" should be taken off the Favorites Bar and placed under Favorites (>). It is taking up space on the Favorites Bar that I want to use for my choice of favorites. There should be only one dropdown of favorites.Solved6.4KViews3likes9CommentsOpening pdf files with Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat is set as the default program for PDF files to be opened. MS Edge Beta ignores this. I do not want PDF files to be opened in my browser, so in settings, I had selected "Always open PDF files externally." They are never opened externally. I get a dialog box telling me that I need to change my settings to open the files. The latest time, there was a download button. Sometimes there is not. I downloaded the file. At the bottom right of the screen, I am asked if I want to open the file. I click on it and get the dialog box that I have to change my settings in order to open the file. There is no way to open the file in Adobe Acrobat. This is my computer. It should do what I want. The latest build has not fixed the problem with MS Edge Dev allowing access to the camera. I have set camera access to "Ask Me" and to "Block", yet I frequently get a notification from Norton that a web page is accessing my camera. I do not want people spying on me.17KViews0likes0Comments
