Re: Discussion - Mouse cursor sometimes disappears
Clay_Martin I've been having this issue across multiple computers for a while now. Since it happens frequently, I'll do my best to create a reproduceable scenario for you. I think it generally happens when I switch tabs from watching a video and I know it happens after I watch a video in full screen and switch from full screen back to a windowed view. The cursor disappears and only reappears after I move my mouse around for a few seconds. It is worth noting that even though no pointer is visible, as I move the mouse around, various mouse hover elements on the page will activate as the invisible cursor moves over them. I hope this helps and I will pay closer attention to see if I can come up with more detailed information. Thanks!23KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Ongoing sync between Microsoft Edge and Chrome - Discussion
Like you, HotCakeX, I care about my privacy. The more control I have over what information I choose to share or not is very important to me. Google is every bit as bad as any spyware/adware out there and I prefer to not use anything Google or Google related whenever possible. For me, any apps that force Google on me are apps that I choose not to use if at all possible. Granted, it's my choice, but at least I have a choice and that's what's important!4.9KViews3likes0CommentsRe: Ongoing sync between Microsoft Edge and Chrome - Discussion
HotCakeX wrote: if Microsoft Edge starts getting Google stuff again, it will be the time to find a different browser Well said HotCakeX and I agree! I used Firefox for many years until de-googled Chromium based Edge became available. I don't use anything Google if at all possible. Edge has come a long way and I like it enough to recommend it and have it as my default browser. Forcing anyone to add Google chrome extensions defeats the purpose behind Edge and for me, it would likely make Firefox my default browser choice again. That being said, for the time being, a possible solution might be to have Edge ask for permission to temporarily install a Google extension to sync with Chrome as long as said extension is immediately removed after synching. Keep Google out of Edge!21KViews2likes0CommentsSite permissions / Cookies and site data
It would be very useful if there were options for displaying cookies. For example: In Site permissions / Cookies and site data, it would be nice to be able to right click to a drop down menu with options to organize cookies by date, tab and/or website. This would make it much easier to see what websites I visit are doing with their cookies without me having to clear all cookies and then going back to visit a website to see what they are putting on my machine in the way of cookies. Organizing cookies by date, tab and/or website, would definitely be much more useful in many cases than an alphabetized list. It would be nice to be able to selectively white-list login/password cookies from being deleted when cookies are cleared. Of course, seeing the cookies organized by date and/or tab and/or website would be very helpful in finding the cookies I want to white-list. If possible, I think it would be nice to have a popup dialog box appear one time during initial login for white-listing specific cookies for any website that requires a username/password and that stores cookies containing that information. Overall, EdgeDev site permissions is coming along nicely - Kudos to the EdgeDev team! db1.5KViews2likes3CommentsRe: What is Canary ring in Windows insider program? and how do we get them?
If you're not familiar with it, the "Canary" ring is one of Microsoft's internal testing rings along the "Operating Systems Group" (OSG) and "Microsoft" rings that the company uses to test Windows 10 builds internally. This link should help explain the Canary Ring for you. I hope this helps. https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2015/03/09/frequency-and-predictability-of-builds-for-windows-insiders/18KViews2likes2Comments
