YouTube videos on Edge Canary just show a black screen
Edge Canary, including the latest build, only shows a black screen when I play YouTube videos, though the audio plays normally. Actually, the whole YouTube website often gets visual glitches, with black squares occasionally covering sections of the page, forcing me to refresh the page in order to render it correctly. I disabled all extensions but no change, and Stable, Beta and Dev builds don't have this issue. I used the Feedback option to report the issue, but I felt like doing it here as well: edit: forgot to mention the issue only happens on my laptop, which has a Core i5-1135G7 (Iris Xe Graphics G7 as iGPU), unlike my desktop (RTX 2060 12GB). Not sure who's fault now for YouTube being broken, Intel GPU or Edge Canary.How do I disable automatic HTTPS on Edge Canary?
On Edge Canary, I can't access my fibre modem via web interface anymore through IP 192.168.15.1, because the browser is automatically redirecting the domain to https://192.168.15.1, even if I enter https://192.168.15.1 I did my research and found that this extremely annoying feature is called HTTP Strict Transport Security, or HTST. Even tried this solution from Superuser, but it didn't work, even after clearing data: https://superuser.com/questions/1400200/chrome-persistently-redirecting-to-https-for-http-site I can access this address with Edge stable and other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox, but how long before I can't access it with regular Edge channel either? I had an issue and needed to refresh Windows, however, after reinstalling Edge and signing in with my Hotmail account, my profile image is not showing anymore. This is happening with all channels that I have installed (Canary, Dev and stable). I already signed out and signed in again, but no luck. My other machine in which I have also signed in with a Microsoft account is showing the profile image normally, so something was broken after doing the refresh in this PC. Is there any cache or file that handles account signin in that I could delete?Discord messages are not being sent on Edge Canary
I'm facing a bug on Canary build where messages are not being sent on Discord web client. I type the message and press Enter, but nothing happens. The bug was present on the previous Canary build as well, though it's not present on Dev channel. I've already sent feedback reporting this bug, I'd just like to report it here as well. priyanshul Here Prime Video still shows HD 1080p, with PlayReady flag set to Disabled, and Widevine set to Default. Most of the times PV will only show "HD 1080p" if I manually click on the progress bar to seek to another timestamp, otherwise it will only show "HD", and the letters won't be highlighted. Maybe there's not even actually any difference, but I like to make sure that the stream resolution is Full HD.Re: Dev channel update to 82.0.453.2 is live
josh_bodner Thanks for the update, but I wonder when favorites syncing will be fixed. Toggling syncing on populates the favorites bar with very old favorites from earlier Edge builds. I don't get why the current favorites are not the ones sent to the cloud and then synced. This happens with either different channels in the same machine or same channel in different machines. I disabled favorites syncing for the time being and regurlarly export them, because the feature is completely broken. Also, my preference of showing icons only is ignored when these (old) favorites get synced.Suggestion: add an option to show icons only for all favourites
I prefer favourites being shown as icons only, and as I constantly add more, I really, really miss an option to show icons for all favorites at once. Ideally, this button would be present as an entry in the context menu for any of the favorites shown, or at least it could be added to favourites manager page.Re: Which is better, the beta version or the final (stable) version?
DWR99 I use the Dev build in three machines and it's fast and stable enough for me, so if the Beta is good enough for you, then there's no reason to use the stable channel I suppose. Beta is a good compromise between stability and "freshness", I mean, addition of new features. I think Beta and Dev are the sweet spot, not as old as stable but not as unstable and constantly updated as Canary.Re: Is there a possibility for android chromium edge to support extension?
I'm not the OP but I'm sure I can speak for him: as a user of Kiwi Browser (also based on Chromium), I'm pretty sure the extensions folks are most seeking are uBlock Origin, Tampermonkey and Dark Reader. Adding extension support to Android Edge would definitely be a game changer, and the final step in ditching Chrome for a lot of users who switched to Edge from Google's browser, including myself. Mozilla Firefox for Android also has extension support. I know users who wish extensions support are the minority, but if a bunch of guys in their spare time made an Android browser with extension support, I'm sure it won't be too hard for professional developers to implement this feature in Android Edge. I believe that luring users to Android Edge would most likely make them use desktop Edge as well.Re: "Show icon only" option isn't working for favourites not visible in the favourites bar

As the title says, the option to show icons only for favourites (bookmarks) that are revealed by clicking the arrow in the far right of the favourites bar isn't working, only for those that are visible. This is a relatively old issue that hasn't been fixed yet, even on Canary builds.
