Does MS maintain a mobo cert program for Server?
Looks like I may be in the market for a new motherboard for my home dev server and thinking that would be a good place to start. In the past I saw some requirements to capable of some instruction sets that boiled down to a de facto requirement. Thkss, dj242Views0likes0CommentsServer 2019 Failure this Passed Weekend.
Complete system loss. It was a dev system I put together for myself at home. I was experiencing some PCIe errors I think. While a completely new system, it was not a certified server MB. It has an Asus Prime Z790M Plus-D4mb., and a 13th Gen 1700 Intel CPU. 128GB RAM. It has about 14-16TB of HDD space configured into just under 8TB of Raid10 storage. A 2TB NVME OS disk. It should have had the heft. So what now? Is there any forensics I can do to see what was going on? I can get a cmd line into it but I haven't looked at anything yet. (Update: I tried the command line and I can see the X drive and that is it.). 18TB of disk space missing at the moment. It is just a family server, mostly for my grandkids to learn about. I also have an older HP running server 2012r2 but that is just about to go unsupported. We had changed our minds about a full AD tree but were still trying to spin up AD LDS. Not sure if I'm going to try reinstalling the 2019 Server again or not...Thoughts? DJI'm getting an error on Pictureboxes not having a "Visible" member
Hi folks, Shut down on two projects in two days. Don't ever tell your grandson that you are working on something for him. This morning I was working on a small Winforms vb.net program for him when I get this error message of F5. "Severity Code Description Project Path File Line Source Suppression State Error BC30456 'visble' is not a member of 'PictureBox'. MathBuddy F:\Programming\Repository\dj\KidStuff\MathBuddy F:\Programming\Repository\dj\KidStuff\MathBuddy\FrmMain.vb 384 IntelliSense Active" I'm no ace programmer but I've played with VB since version 3. I can't remember all those years but I'm fairly certain the Picturebox has a visible member as confirmed by the current properties window. So what do I do now? I can't design around it. The project sits dead until someone helps me figure this out. Thanks, dj437Views0likes0Commentsvbc File Error
Hi, I've had a rough couple of days with the analyzers. I was doing a fairly simple PlaySound thing and screwed it up. I cleaned up all the code but the analyzers are still giving me an error. "Severity Code Description Project Path File Line Source Suppression State Error BC30205 Error in project-level import 'Windows Multimedia' at 'Multimedia' : End of statement expected. FlashCards F:\Programming\Repository\dj\KidStuff\FlashCards F:\Programming\Repository\dj\KidStuff\FlashCards\vbc 1 Build Active" I've searched my code and read up on what a vbc file is. I'm fairly confident if I knew where the error was I could fix it. But I'm lost here. What now? Dave789Views0likes0Comments
