Hyper-V Manager stopped working after updating Windows 11 to th elatest version (22H2)
Hey guys, any ideas why I'm getting this after updating my Windows 11 to the latest version? I'm trying to connect to a Hyper-V server 2019 in the network, something I do all the time using Hyper-V Manager, but all I'm getting now is this: I don't see the service anymore and when I install the whole Hyper-V feature the service appears, but it still doesn't let me connect to it, I was able to connect before, same user/password, nothing changed on either side (server/client). Doesn't microsoft want people to use their products?3.7KViews1like2CommentsIs there a way to connect to a Hyper-V Server (standalone) from a domain PC?
Hey guys, I have a Hyper-V Server in workgroup mode and a client PC connecting to it, I installed a coupe of domain controllers to the network, configured via Group Policy WinRM and Credentials Delegation, the Hyper-V server is configured to have TrustedHosts to * but as soon as I join the domain with the client PC I cannot connect to the Hyper-V Server saying that Credsssp are not enabled, but as per the Group Policy, it is and when I try to run the powershell command to enable it again, it doesn't work. I don't know why Microsoft did it this way to connect to a Hyper-V Server, but it's just the most annoying thing I have ever seen. I just hope they get rid of that when they come out with a new version.723Views0likes1CommentHow to allow a local user to be an admin in Mac on AD?
Hey guys, I have Windows Domain Controllers in an office, most users have Macs, a few users need local Administrator permissions, but when I go to users and Groups in Systems Preferences, that option is greyed out, I tried putting the user in the Administrative settings of AD in that Mac, but I don't know if that's the way to do it, so, did I miss something? Thanks.472Views0likes0CommentsHyper-V Server 2019 stopped allowing connections after unjoining a domain
Hey guys, I have to say, I'm very unhappy with Hyper-V Server, I had it on a workgroup connecting using local users and it was working fine, I had it join a domain, I added a domain user to the administrators, but it didn't let me connect to it, so I had it unjoin the domain and go back the way it was before, but now not even the local users can connect to it, even after re-running the powershell commands to enable credssp and making every host (*) a trusted host. Why is it this difficult to work with it? at least other Hypervisors have a web interface or they allow any admin user to connect to it from anywhere from the start, but not Hyper-V, I think if Microsoft wants to keep it alive it will have to make it easier for administrators to connect to it. As per me, I just turned it off and I'm not going to use it again.515Views0likes0Comments
