Saving backup calendar fails

I wished to export my calendar to Google but when I saved a copy to a document file the file saved was only 2kb and when Google imported it, it imported only three items. Where have I gone wrong?

How are you doing the export? from which program?

Yes, but how did you save that calendar file in document folder.
what program or service did you use to export your calendar? I'm asking for the origin of the file if that makes sense

Hi, I simply opened the calendar, went to file, save calendar and pitched the folder I wanted to save it in. Doesn't that work?
