First we will discuss Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V features that consolidate servers. The topics include simplified deployment features and hardware support. Then we will discuss Failover Clustering Live Migration feature that fails over share cluster vm’s to ensure servers are available 24/7. Then we will discuss reducing deployment costs using Microsoft Assessment and Planning Accelerator, System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 to provision Hyper-V on physical and vm machines. Finally, we will discuss manageability enhancements in Hyper-V Manager, Server Manager, Windows Powershell cmdlets, and System Center suite that provides seamless management experience.
