Preventing Hyper-V from automatically mounting SAN volumes on startup

When Microsoft Hyper-V Server is started, it automatically tries to mount all the volumes that are connected to the server. These volumes include volumes on local disks and Storage Area Network (SAN) logical unit numbers (LUNs).

The SAN policy in Microsoft Hyper-V Server does this by default, but if you want to change it there’s now a KB article out that describes how.  And sure, this isn’t particular to SCVMM but since Hyper-V and Virtual Machine Manager go together like peanut butter and chocolate I thought I’d give you a heads up about it.  You can read the entire article at the link below:
