What Are Ambassador AI Projects?
Ambassdor AI Projects are collaborative initiatives where Student Ambassadors come together to build AI-powered solutions for real-world challenges. These projects provide a platform for participants to apply their skills, work in teams, and create impactful innovations ranging from healthcare, accessibility, sustainability, and automation. They offer a glimpse into how cutting-edge technology is being used to solve pressing problems. Whether you're a developer looking to sharpen your skills, a student eager to contribute to meaningful tech solutions, or simply an AI enthusiast, these projects showcase the power of teamwork and innovation.
On March 13, 2025, the Ambassador AI Projects Demo Day was held virtually on Microsoft Teams. The event brought together rising developers from all over the world to collaborate and create innovative solutions to real-world problems.
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the Gold leads Brian kemboi, Rashmi Gunawardana, Albin Muhigiri Ashuza, Midhuna Mohanraj, Zaynul Abedin Miah for their hard work and dedication in putting together such an amazing event and leading this past cycle of the projects program. Without their tireless efforts, this event would not have been possible. In addition, we would like to thank our Gold milestone judges: Humprey Muriungi, Meerali Naseet, Nikhil Mahana, Aditya Kumar.
Meet the Finalists & Their Outstanding Projects
The final round was a showcase of brilliance, featuring groundbreaking innovations from three exceptional teams:
Healthfy App – Led by Ambassador Subhashis Paul, this project stood out with its visionary approach to tackling real-world health challenges.
ADYA – Spearheaded by Sayanti Chowdhury, this team delivered a compelling solution that left a lasting impression.
Profood-AI – Headed by Ambassador Shakthi Lakma, this project brought cutting-edge AI into the food industry with remarkable results.
Ultimately, Healthfy App claimed victory for its creativity, impact, and problem-solving excellence proving yet again how innovation can drive meaningful change.
Healthfy App
Healthfy is a user-friendly mobile application designed to simplify nutrition labels and help users make informed food choices. With the increasing prevalence of packaged foods containing potentially harmful additives, Healthfy aims to empower users, especially those with specific health conditions like diabetes or hypertension, to understand what they are consuming.
ADYA
ADYA is an innovative, AI-powered solution that redefines how users interact with their computers by replacing the need for a physical mouse. Leveraging Azure AI Services and advanced computer vision, ADYA detects and interprets hand gestures to control cursor movements, clicks, and other actions, offering a seamless and intuitive user experience. This cutting-edge technology empowers users with enhanced accessibility and a hands-free alternative to traditional input devices.
Profood-AI
Profood-AI is a solution designed to automate food label inspection on production lines using artificial intelligence. The system accurately detects both printed and non-printed expiration dates with 95% accuracy, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and significantly reducing manual inspection errors.
Other Notable Projects
Other teams that made it to the final round included:
- CODE 313 led by Mohammed Uvez Khan, this team developed an intelligent document classification system for financial institutions.
- Al Chemist Crew led by Nouran Hassan Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud, team members: Anas Abuelhaag, Durraiz Ali, Ayodhya Janodani, this team created an AI-driven recipe recommendation system to reduce food waste.
These teams worked diligently to create impactful solutions to real-world problems. Although they didn't secure the win, their projects were remarkable and showed tremendous potential.
CODE 313
CODE 313 - FileFlow AI is an intelligent document classification system designed for financial institutions. It automates the organization of bank applications, identity documents, financial statements, and receipts using machine learning, OCR (Tesseract), and NLP (spaCy, NLTK). Built with FastAPI and Streamlit.
Al Chemist Crew
AI Chemist Crew - Chef's Whispers is an AI-driven recipe recommendation system designed to enhance meal planning efficiency and sustainability. By analyzing user-provided ingredients, serving sizes, and preferences, the system generates real-time, personalized meal suggestions, addressing food waste and decision fatigue.
The judges were particularly impressed with the project's real-world applicability and potential for wide-scale impact.
