upgrade OS for Sql server

Current our system have two note SQL server

OS version : 2016

Sql version : 2017

Always On : 2 nodes

Now we are planning upgrade OS for Sql server

OS version : 2022 (only change)

Sql version : 2017 

Always On : join to AG

Can join OS 2022 to cluster always on OS 2016 ? We plan to join the new server to AG to make it secondary and sync data to make change new server to primary...
