SQL Server collation setting

Hi everybody.

Could you please describe, why when i change collation setting of database from case sensetive to case insensetive it has influence on both data and SQL code.
May be there is some feature behind it?

Thanks in advance.

    datswdHi!

I think when you change database collation it affects on all data is stored to this db and also on metadata, so you queris becomes case-sensitive or case-insensitive.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Artem.

      SparrowDev, correct.

But why does this setting apply on both data and SQL code? Why there aren't two settings? One for data and another for SQL Code?

I believe there is some useful feature behind it.

SQL Server support team, could you please reveal this feature?

      Thanks in advance.

      Regards,

      Daniil.
