Backing up using Differential in Microsoft SQL server management studio 2016, but see error.

Copper Contributor

Hi Community,

I'm trying to do differential back up in Microsoft SQL server management studio 2016, and it seems to be backed up properly when I see the folder as shown below. Date 18-20 July are all done during the differential backup schedules.

But I still see errors in my Jobs History in my SQL server.

Can please advise what does this means and why can I check to resolve this?

Thank you!

Regards,

Josh.

The job failed, maybe not the backup. You need to expand the job failure with the + sign and see what the messages are in that entry. There could have been more in the Maintenance Plan that failed but the backup succeeded.

@joshlabtech , the ist the message for the job; useless. Lookup the error message for "job step 1".

Thanks! Managed discover why after I check the logs as you directed!
