Skype for business crashes when I start my logitech C270 webcam

Hello,

Windows 8, Dell Inspiron. Using Skype for business, whenever I test the webcam (Logitech C270 HD) Skype for Business goes into "Not Responding" and just crashes. Normal Skype works fine. 

Any help would be appreciated. I have to use it more now as I must study from home due to the Covid19 situation.

This seems to be the Driver Compatibility issue between SFB and LogiTech C270 WebCam. Please follow the below steps. Should help you to resolve the issue

 

1. Can you see if you can upgrade the drivers for WebCam?

2. Check if you are able to use the Webcam with other application if any?

3. Uninstall the WebCam Drivers and re-install the same and check?

4. Check if you have the latest version of SFB installed and also check if you have the latest version of drivers installed from the logitech for the Web Cam. 

5. If possible try and install the WebCam drivers latest version manually rather than plug and play?
