Hi, We have an hybrid skype and exchange environment and I created a room mailbox directly in O365 and assigned licenses. The user/mailbox is seen in the skype online(Teams and Skype portal) but I cannot sign in with this account on either surface hub nor on any skype client.
Is this is the right way to setup a user in a hybrid environment? Or is it that the user should always be created on prem and migrated to cloud?

Hi,
First create a AD user on-premises. Activate that mailbox on-premises and move online (if you want to). Then activate the csmeetingroom in Skype on-premises (and move to online if you want to).

So yes, always create on-premises first and move the account if you want to have it in the online environment instead.
