Skype for Rooms not presenting to TV after system sleep
would this device wake up a sleeping TV if upon SRS video output ?
yes
I have a plenty of Smartdocks and Lenovo Hub 500 and they all work fine if a TV supports CEC.

For those that bought screens that support HDMI-CEC and have a Logitech Smartdock (or probably any other SRS system, but not 100% sure). There is a solution in the form of a box that converts HDMI-signal sleep/resume to HDMI-CEC. I have tested the HD CTL 100 and that one works.

Hi Pavel Aivazov ,
It is a little bit difficult to find a screen that works correctly with the SmartDock.
I thought that the signalling that turned the screen on was DDC/CI because a screen I have did wake up and it had DDC/CI support. but if I disable DDC/CI on this screen (Dell E5515Hc) the screen still wakes up when the Smartdock wakes up. So it's also not DDC/CI that is used.

Hey Pete Ashof
you are right, that was my misunderstanding of CEC :) And yes, we use screens which are smart enough to go to sleep when there is no HDMI signal and wake up when incoming signal is detected. For instance, Samsung DC49J and QE82N

Pavel Aivazov Hi Pavel,
Are you sure you are using CEC?
According to Logitech they don't:
Does Flex support CEC for attached displays?
Logitech Flex as well as SmartDock with Microsoft Surface Pro does not support CEC. It is recommended to use commercial displays with power management capabilities such as schedule on/off times.(from support.logitech.com/en_us/product/smartdock-flex/faq#link_Does-Flex-support-CEC-for-attached-display).Maybe you are using screens that indeed just "sleep" where with HDMI-CEC it would really go in and out of standby?I have a Samsung screen (55NU7470) that supports AnyNet/HDMI-CEC, it is enabled, but I can't get it to work properly with a Smartdock, I always end up with a screen that doesn't switch on anymore once it switches off (and I also can't prevent it to switch off).May I ask what screens you use at the moment that work well with the Smartdock/SRS? - JonasBackSep 21, 2018Steel Contributor
Sounds promising. Yeah I know. I actually have two very new LG TVs at home, one smaller 32" and one larger 49". Both are "premium" smart TVs and should support HDMI-CEC. I have Apple TVs hooked up to both where one works perfectly (as soon as I wake upp the Apple TV it turns on) but the other one does not work
LG's response when opening up a case "We only support LG devices supporting Simplink". ARGH.

No one in the room for some time - SRS screen will be dimmed, TVs will go to sleep mode
Someone enters the room - SRS will turn on its screen immediately, TVs will wake up in 1-2 seconds.
IMPORTANT: TV must support CEC, even relatively new TV may not support it, test it!

Great info! How does it practically work. When you press "Join" on a meeting it fires up the TV? Or does it fire up as soon as someone walks into the room?
