As of July 14, 2015, Windows Server 2003 will no longer be a supported operating system . This means that customers using Windows Server 2003 will no longer receive new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft. On this same date, customers using System Center Endpoint Protection or Forefront Endpoint Protection on Windows Server 2003 will stop receiving updates to antimalware definitions and the engine for Windows Server 2003. We have found in our research that the effectiveness of antimalware solutions on out-of-support operating systems is limited. Given the fast pace of technology, it has become increasingly important that customers use modern software and hardware that is designed to help protect PCs and servers against today’s threat landscape. Customers can realize several benefits when upgrading their Windows Server 2003 environments, including improved performance, added flexibility and agility, and reduced management costs. With this in mind, please consider finalizing your Windows Server migration plans today. You can find resources to help in your planning and decision-making process on the Windows Server 2003 end of support page here. --The System Center Configuration Manager Team Configuration Manager Resources Documentation Library for System Center 2012 Configuration Manager System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Forums System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Survival Guide System Center Configuration Manager Support
