No Teams Templates = No Problem: Using Teams & Flow in the Government Cloud

If you've been paying attention, you might have noticed the lack of templates in Gov Flow for Teams. Here's an example of Teams+Flow in Commercial...

...and the same in Flow Goverment...

Templates are pre-built Flows that help you get started quickly. Which means that the absence of Templates in Gov doesn't necessarily mean you can't do those same tasks. It just means you'll have to start from scratch. The key thing to note between Commercial and Government Flow is that the Triggers/Actions are relatively the same...

...which means we should be able to create the same Flows in Government Flow that Commercial Flow already has. Let's look at an example - as you saw above, Commercial Flow has a Template called "Post messages to Microsoft Teams when a new task is created in Planner". When we open that template in Commercial, it looks like this:

As you can see, the actions are already added, and ready for you to insert your tenant-specific information. But, in this side-by-side view, you see that I'm able to create that same Flow from scratch in the Government service:

So, while templates in Government Flow would certainly save us a few clicks, it's good to know that we can still get things done using the included Triggers and Actions.
