Win11 - WMR-Portal not installable
I can not install WMR-Portal. It ends always with the message that it can not be installed and requires an update.
The PC:
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 22H2
Installiert am 09.12.2022
Betriebssystembuild 22621.963
Leistung Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22638.1000.0
The system is new and NOT upgraded from Win10. Ragarding the WMR Version i have
Tool zur Imageverwaltung für die Bereitstellung
Version: 10.0.22621.1
Abbildversion: 10.0.22621.963
Funktionsidentität : Analog.Holographic.Desktop~~~~0.0.1.0
Name : Analog.Holographic.Desktop
Status : Installiert
I am not sure, but i think the previous version worked.
What I tried so far:
- Plugout HMD (HP Reverb 1), reinstalled WMR-Portal and Reinstall, Replugin
- Remove Capability and Reinstall (Dism /online /Remove-Capability /CapabilityName:Analog.Holographic.Desktop~~~~0.0.1.0) and so on
- Install Portal without Headset but only in Developer Mode with Simulation
- Clean Software Distribution Folder, Restore Health (dism /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth) and rescan files (sfc /scannow)
- in between I removed and reinstalled the portal multiple times 🙂
I saw that this is not uncommon. We are working also with 9! HP-Reverb in different Versions and Simulation at work where I am responsible. We are close to update development PCs to Win11 and I am realy concerned if we will end up with non-working environments.
Again: Device is recognized, but this is unimportant for simulation installation. Drivers and OS are uptodate
I will support with all information but hope somebody can support me!
