Speakers:


Karen Dahmen, Principal Group PM Manager, Microsoft
Karen leads a team of approximately 20 program managers in Azure Security Engineering focusing on areas such as offensive security and protecting the engineering pipeline. Karen has 18 years of experience, with the past 9 years at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Karen worked in “Big 4” consulting and IT audit. From an educational standpoint, Karen obtained an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems in 2003 and Masters of Science in Informatics in 2014. Outside of work, Karen enjoys playing with her two young sons (ages 3 and 6), chasing around the family’s new quarantine puppy, and appreciating abstract art

Sarah Fender, Partner PM, Microsoft
Sarah is a Partner Program Manager in the Microsoft Cloud Security division, leading product management for Azure Sentinel in the US. Prior to that, she led security initiatives for Microsoft Azure, including the launch of Azure Security Center. Sarah joined Microsoft following its acquisition of PhoneFactor in 2012 where she had served as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. In her time away from work, Sarah enjoys being on the water, including rowing crew on Lake Sammamish.

KR Shubha, Principal PM Manager, Microsoft
Shubha leads a team of Engineering Program Managers at Microsoft, who design systems to empower engineers to make the Windows user experience great on over a billion devices around the world. Her well-earned reputation as an empathetic and dependable change leader comes from her career spanning over 20 years in Fortune100 Technology and Healthcare Medical devices companies, where she has managed large, complex products, services, and teams. Having successfully navigated various personal and career transitions she brings a well-rounded, customer centric perspective for creating innovative solutions.


Shubha grew up in India and came to USA to pursue an MSEE at Bucknell U. She also holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified professional.


Shubha thrives on giving back to the Greater Seattle community via initiatives to boost a rich pipeline of Women leaders in Tech and students in STEM. In her free time, Shubha enjoys practicing yoga, and loves spending time with her family, even being driven up the wall by her tween daughter, Radha and 10-month-old pup, Simba!


Michelle Felizardo, Program Manager II, Microsoft Mesh & Runtimes
Michelle is a PM on the Mixed Reality Mesh & Runtimes team. Her focus is on driving opportunities to integrate Microsoft Mesh and Mixed Reality Services with cross-company partners like Dynamics and Power Platform. Before joining the mixed reality space, she spent time in Microsoft Consulting Services helping a variety of Fortune 100 companies as a developer and project manager. Her passion lies in connecting people and technologies to help create magical experiences for customers.
