We're proud to announce that the complete HoloLens 2 Mixed Reality Production for Unreal Engine learning path is now live!

You may recall that we announced the first few courses in the learning path a few months ago, but now the entire full learning path is available.

If you've been curious about either developing for the HoloLens 2, using Unreal Engine 4, or just how to dip your toes into mixed reality development, this is the course for you!

This completely free learning path starts from assuming no experience with either Unreal Engine 4 or HoloLens and walks through everything you need to know in order to do mixed reality development. It begins with the basic setup of Unreal Engine 4, familiarizing you with the development environment. If you have a HoloLens device, the course will introduce you to that setup as well, but it also walks you through setting up the HoloLens Simulator if not.

From there, it introduces you to each of the fundamental interaction models for HoloLens apps: gaze and head interactions, hand interactions, and gestures via the UX Tools library, voice commands, and designing apps that interact with the real world via camera and spatial mapping data. Similarly, there are courses on building user interfaces with Unreal Motion Graphics and UX Tools, designing effective spatial audio experiences, and enabling multi-user experiences with Azure Spatial Anchors.

Finally, the learning path finishes on a few final topics to help you get your finished app out the door, such as performance measurement and optimization and preparing your app for submission to the Microsoft Store.

If this sounds exciting, check out the learning path for free!
