Why is this still not available to Office 365 users on the web? I don't understand how that's even possible. Someone had to go out of their way to make that happen. How weird.

I have been waiting for this! :) Two features I would love to see in this app:

 - A possibility to a consolidated view of all my list like Google Keep.

- My assigned To-Do's in Microsoft Planner.

We would really love it if we could keep re-using a list. As an example when we go camping I can tick off all the things to pack but I don't want to recreate the list - I would like to either untick the whole list or create a list template.

Question though -- this preview appears as a new, enabled license under an existing SKU, which I assume means there is no additional extra cost. Once it moves from preview status though, will it continue to be a license under the SKU, or will it become a service that gets moved to its own SKU with a cost for each person who wants to continue using it. I don't want to roll this out to users only to then have to pay for its ongoing use.


This scenario impacted us significantly when the Power BI "share" capability was removed from the free license and became a separate Power BI Pro SKU that required a monthly per user additional cost.

I agree @Steve Elliott. I've been using the preview and really like the direction it's taking but reluctant to have users start on it and then have to pay for some of initial functionality like Power BI

Is there a way to move a Planner list to a To Do list.  I have been using planner as my own to do list.  Now that To Do is up and running it would make sense to use the proper tool to get the job done.

No surprise, but I noticed my on-prem SP task lists connected to Outlook are not showing up in To-Do. Any chance this could change?

MS Todo has so few features, I honestly do not see any value in it. I would've expected it to at least have feature parity with Wunderlist.

This has one advantage over Wunderlist and that is the ability to sort completed tasks in the lists.... but I can't see how you can share lists with another user... and that was a very useful feature in Wunderlist.


I have seen comments that Microsoft is working on this but that was a long time ago.

Will you be adding subtasks? I see list sharing, what about subtasks? Especially in a business context, this is wholly necessary.

@Kenneth Holden can you point out where you see the ability to share lists? I understand that has not been implemented. @Polly Davidson can you give a timeline or a hint as to when we will be able to add To-Do to our Azure Conditional Access policies as well as our Intune MAM Policies?

I didn't sign up for To-Do, I signed up for Wunderlist which I understand MS will be retiring in favour of To-Do?


That being the case, an absolutely must-have To-Do feature is the ability to share lists. My wife is a technophobe but she loves Wunderlist and the way we can share various Wunderlists! We have practically organised our lives around this app - from the shopping list to camping trips to various projects around the home and garden and more. Between us we have dozens of lists on the go!


Also are we safe to assume that by continuing to use Wunderlist, there will be a tool for importing "Wunderlists" into To-Do before the switchover? This is something that some competitive products (such as todoist) offer already


BTW Wunderlist is so useful to us, that so long as To-Do provides the same level of basic functionality (esp. shared lists and ability to prioritise items) we would be prepared to pay a reasonable subscription fee, as per some of the Wunderlist/To-Do competitors :)


@Mike McKechnie some small good news for you - I do know there is an import tool to move from Wunderlist to To-Do. Hope that helps. :) Still no sharing of lists though...

Word = State of the Art Word Processor

Excel = State of the Art Spreadsheet

Outlook = State of the Art Contact Manager

To-Do List = Grocery List o_0


Why put out a product that essentially demeans the entire line?

Hello? Microsoft? It has been over 6 months since this announcement... no new news, and no changes to the "preview" feature set. What's the deal? Have used Wunderlist for just about forever, and this is certainly no replacement for it. Updates?

Thus far, no printing, saving, sharing, collaboration is available.

In its current state, it's great for shopping lists :)


The application promises a lot but at present other than allowing me to add to do lists, there isn't much other functionality. Wunderlist, which is what I understand this new application is founded on, enables task sharing and ownership of tasks, adding to calendar view. 

Also, the and outlook application don't have To-Do integrated as yet. Whilst they do show tasks added into To-do, it is still in the old format of Tasks. 

Can you provide a general update on what functionality is expected in the next 2-3 months so we hav a better understanding of whether we should invest time in using this application. thanks.

Would also be useful to import items to a To-Do List either from a simple text file, CSV, Word List or Excel List.

Where I have lists elsewhere it is a real bore having to add items by pasting one at a time.

To-Do needs the option to easily print or save a list. I'm going to be forced to switch to something else if it doesn't, as this shouldn't be a hard function to add.

@brucev1951@JP_12345 if you have access to Microsoft Outlook desktop client you can find the same list of tasks there and there are various print options.

I would like to date stamp my completed tasks and file them by the date completed and/or be able to file the completed task with a date stamp in a client file.  Any thoughts on how to do this?

Hi, great looking app! But it won’t work for me coming from Wunderlist. I find three very important features are missing from ToDo and without them I’m stuck: 1. An option to have all new tasks added to the top of the list. 2. The ability to “star” or “flag” tasks and have them immediately moved to the top. 3. The equivalent of where I can forward an email from any of my email accounts at gmail, yahoo, outlook, etc. to have those emails appear as new tasks [at the top of] my list. Will any of these features be included prior to the retirement of Wunderlist in May 2020? Thank you!

1. Nope, not the same as putting items where you need them within a list regardless of the creation date of other items. 2. Nope, not the same as importance of one item needs to be independent of the importance set for all other items. 3. Nope, not the same as this must be for email from non-Microsoft accounts too.

I can't print TO DO lists ! I transferred Wunderlist to MD TO DO and I found out there's no printing options....


Is there a printing list somewhere ???

I just transferred from Wunderlist, and turned "Badge app icon" on in Notifications, but there is no badge showing on my icon.  In Wunderlist the badge showed the number of items due today.  What does the number on the badge in To Do count?

If you mean the "Live Tile", I believe that only shows the tasks that you place on your My Day

I want a number to appear on the To Do icon that is on my phone.  I tried moving tasks onto My Day and that didn't result in a number appearing on the icon.
