Microsoft teams unable to join a group

Hello, 

        My college teacher sent us an invite link for joining a group on MS teams. When I opened the link it shows me request sent but my teacher is not able to see my request. Rest everyone in my class have joined the group by the same link. Whenever i open the link it shows request sent. Can someone tell me the solution to join the group
