Any ideas why Teams is not working for students with Mac laptops?

Three students, each with different mac books but all experiencing the same problem with Teams. They download/install the Teams app and successfully open and use it the first time but when they try to use it again they are asked to download/install Teams. Any ideas what we need to do to resolve this? Thanks.
