Earlier this week I tried using Microsoft Stream on Android to watch downloaded videos and had the following issues

  • I couldn't view offline content without internet. That seems to defeat the purpose of being able to watch downloaded videos, say on an airplane.
  • A bigger issue was after enabling internet the app used significant amount of data to watch offline content.
    • ~140MB for about 20 mins of video
