About Microsoft Search and file sharing connector specifications

Regular Visitor

I'll ask you a few questions about things related to Microsoft Search.
※I am currently validating the capabilities of Microsoft Search with an Office 365 E3 license.
And, I also use the file sharing connector (Targeted Release).

  • If a large number of files are uploaded to SharePoint Online etc., may the creation of the index used by Microsoft Search fail?
Also, how many files will be uploaded and index creation will fail?
  • Is it possible to use the KQL search function in Bing search?
  • When using the file sharing connector (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftsearch/file-share-connector)
    • Can indexing fail if a large number of files are uploaded to the file server?
    • Also, can the above creation failures be resolved by changing settings or purchasing Office 365 storage?
    • "Ingestion throughput is throttled at about four items per second." is written in "https://docs.microsoft.com/ja-jp/microsoftsearch/connectors-preview". Is this limitation still applied?
If so, when will this limit be lifted?
    • Is it possible to create an index for the local folder in the PC where Gateway is running?
    • Is it necessary that the account that signs in to the PC on which Gateway is running belongs to a specific domain (eg, the domain to which the file server belongs)?
    • I think that the display format of the search results will be "file:// ...". Is there a possibility that other formats will be supported in future updates?
