Microsoft MVPs are technical experts and community leaders who demonstrate their passion to teach each other and grow together with community members for the power of technology. In terms of the ‘Microsoft MVP community,’ our Microsoft MVP Award Program is the special community for them to learn together from their own experiences.

In this blog, we feature the excitement of the MVPs and their Community Program Manager in the regional MVP event in Brazil for the first time in three years.

The Community Program Manager in Brazil, Glauter Jannuzzi, organized a private event for the MVPs and Regional Directors in Brazil in November 2022. They got together at a new Microsoft venue Microsoft Reactor São Paulo and learned the latest Program information from Glauter, recent business updates from the LATAM Microsoft members, and community engagement stories from other MVPs and RDs during three unique sessions.

Glauter says, “It was a great reconnection with many MVPs and also an opportunity to meet the new MVPs awarded during the pandemic. The best outcome was undoubtedly the sense of belonging shared by the MVPs and RDs. They shared their happiness of feeling the community spirit is still alive and the need of in person events again.

It was amazing that I met the people I admired for a long time and an honor for me to be with them,Henrique Eduardo Souza, a new Developer Technologies MVP in November 2022, joined this in-person event to meet his peers in the MVP community. He shares his learnings from this event, “I deepened my knowledge in Microsoft technologies and Azure platform, besides, how to create impact and share this with the community. Also, I learned that a lot of people have been publicly recognized who changed their lives by organizing open training sessions and sharing experiences.

In addition to Henrique, another MVP who joined the MVP gathering for the first time after being an MVP is Data Platform MVP Carol Lavecchia. She delivered a presentation about new projects and ideas to improve the life of beloved technical communities to other MVPs and describes her presentation opportunity as “a dream came true.” She learned that the power of being an MVP is really magical. “Supporting professionals, students, and companies to evolve is not something unattainable like others think. We can do it with our desire to do best and help people,” Carol adds.

This event surely inspired MVPs for their further community engagement. Henrique says he would like to expand a number of his open training sessions to reach more people and collaborate with the Microsoft Reactor to organize a lot of community events on AI, cloud technology, developer, and diversity. Carol tells us her community activity plan in 2023 that she would love to engage with university students who study technology to prepare them for the job market.

Every single MVP has unique technical expertise, background, and audience, however, all of them have a passion for helping others with their community leadership. This event enabled them to exchange their own ideas enthusiasm, and experience of community engagements with a connection of the Microsoft MVP Award. We hope that their learnings will make tech communities a better place for anyone to welcome, guide, and connect.
