Four Business Applications MVPs from across APAC, Jeevarajan Kumar in New Zealand, Dharanidharan Balasubramaniam in Australia, and Doher Drizzle Pablo (as known as Drizzle) and Paul Soliman in Philippines, presented at the Be Digital Bootcamp in collaboration with PETRONAS.

PETRONAS is a Malaysian based oil and gas company, working with Microsoft as a customer and partner. This initiative empowered 50 Malaysian graduates on the benefits of Power Platform.

The inspirational MVP trainers presented an interactive hybrid hands-on learning lab session on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents to increase their value for employability or to empower aspiring entrepreneurs. Drizzle describes her motivation for joining this initiative and her passion to help students, “First, we all went through the student stage, and we knew what they are looking for. Second, the students are still hungry for learning and success. These students are striving and thriving to achieve their goals and dreams.”

Drizzle reflects on a motivational quote that keeps her connected to her purpose of supporting community. “I always remember the quote of our national hero – Dr. Jose Rizal “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” The students/youth have the potential to make a difference in our country and the world.”

Drizzle learned that partnership with students is a great way to guide and support them throughout their career. In addition, she added one important learning to engage with students on their journey, “We need to let students know the WIFM (What’s in it for me?) in any activities.”

Students and MVPs got together virtually in Microsoft Teams. The Modern Work Adoption Specialist in Microsoft Malaysia, Pei Yi, says, “It’s exciting to be able to bridge the experts (MVPs) from different countries with Malaysian students for an interactive hybrid learning session through Microsoft Teams. With technology (and Microsoft solutions), there are really little to no barriers for learning and upskilling oneself.”
