Howdy folks,
Today I'm excited to let you know about the new design for Azure AD MyApps (aka Azure AD access panel). We've heard your feedback that you'd like a more modern design that will work well on mobile and desktop alike and we've been working hard to bring that to you.
There is something for everyone in the new design, whether you use MyApps to single sign on to apps, discover new apps, grant app access, or manage groups. Here's a quick overview of what we've been working on:
-
Modern look and feel, optimized for the device you're on
-
Notifications at a glance
-
New user account control
-
Group management optimizations
-
Improved performance
I've shared some screenshots and details about the new design below but if you can't wait to check it out I won't stand in your way.

You'll also find a link to the new design in your current MyApps experience at
http://myapps.microsoft.com/
,as well as in the
Android app
and the
iOS app
. Just look for this …
Now let's take a look at the new design.
Fresh look and feel, optimized for the device you're on
The screenshots below highlight some of the changes in the new look and feel. In addition to updating to a more modern style, you'll notice that the tenant brand pops more in the new design. The new app layout allows you to easily scan the titles and the number of columns updates dynamically based on the screen size.
Notifications at a glance
In the current design you need to navigate to a new section to view the approval requests waiting for you. In the new design you can tell with a glance if you have notifications waiting for you, just look for the little number on the notifications bell. You can view and respond to your access requests from anywhere on the site.
New and improved user account control
Switch organizations or sign out, all from one convenient user control.
Group management optimizations
The new experience is optimized for efficiency. We put everything you need on the main page so you can get started faster: groups you own, groups you are in, join group, and create group. We know you may still need easy access to your apps while you are managing groups, so we've made it it's own app with the same new look and feel.
A couple of additional things worth noting...
-
We are targeting end of Q3 for GA.
-
We will support all features from the current design by the time we get to GA. In the Public Preview, you may notice that there are still some things missing. The most notable is the ability to block devices. You can still get to this feature in the current design anytime you need it.
-
The new design is supported on the same browsers as the current design: IE, Chrome, and Firefox.
As always, we'd love to receive any feedback or suggestions you have. Please let us know what you think by leaving a comment on this post!
